Glinka named to FISU
Games squad
Current
Warrior Mike Glinka (Mannheim, ON) has been selected to the roster
of the 2008 Baseball World University Games Tournament in Prague,
Czech Republic (July 17-27).
In 2007, Glinka, a second year Engineering student, was named the
OUA first team short stop all-star and the OUA’s Most Valuable
Hitter.
“We are very excited for Mike,” commented head coach
of the Warriors Brian Bishop. “Mike will do a good job representing
Waterloo on the international stage. Mike is a very good defensive
player and his hitting is improving every day. He is a smart player
who has a real passion for the game and should be a real asset to
team Canada.”
